6 miles this morning on two hood loops. Pushed it on the hill.

7 miles tonight, soccer complex. Much hotter than it has been, so I went out an hour before sunset, which set up some nice shade from the surrounding trees. It made the breeze cool instead of stifling on the south side and got me re-energized for the open areas of the course. Quads were sore today. Obviously this is from the increase in daily mileage and the fact I don't skip hills anymore in addition to pushing to maintain faster pace on hills. I really like running twice a day, and am already getting used to it. I get so much more running in, and I almost feel better than with one run. The waking up part is still tough, but its fine. I'm just not looking forward to it being darker each morning because I don't want to get hit by a car-(no sidewalks). Looks like its time to pick up some reflective tape.

Once I've been running a steady 4 huge hills a day for 2-3 weeks I'll throw in specific hill work and by then it'll be May and time to throw in speed too. Should make for a good 10k training. I haven't set any goals for that race, I'm sure I'll PR so I'm thinking an age placement would be fun-  top 5? (last year I was 12th)

Ran the last mile and a half tonight at a strong pace getting really nice pushoff, actually felt fast in my clodhoppers.
