workout at the track today. One mile warmup and drills. Then 1 mile with 600 recovery, 800 w 1200 recovery, and a final 800, then a mile cooldown. Felt good on all 3, especially the last one. By good I mean I was hurting. Didn't want to do much as I don't need to mess anything with a week to go till the race. 6 miles at the soccer complex. Started off well enough, the pace felt pedestrian after today's speedwork. Ran the last lap pretty fast because I was feeling good, so add another one on for fast miles today. There was a guy with a knox marathon shirt, we exchanged words as we ran by which was kind of funny since I ran by him 6 times. I say "I" ran by him because I was going a lot faster. It was good though, he's running the half next week as well. I'm feeling very confident. I've been running since October and have put in some good work. I know I'll PR, the only question is by how much. |
